Aidan Plumridge has been named as head of operations by Sterling Insurance Group.

He leaves behind Cassidy Davis, a syndicate of Lloyd’s, where he held the post of marketing and business development chief.

Plumridge has previously spent a stint at Sterling, from 1996 to 2001, and was associate director at the time of his departure.

Sterling’s managing director, John Blundell, has expressed his delight at Plumridge’s return to bolster the Life division, adding that the division is an area the firm wishes to expand over the course of this year.

Plumridge has said he is thrilled to be rejoining the firm, and is looking forward to the challenges ahead.
