Venture Preference’s management board has been declared by Stuart Reid, who joined the firm as chief executive in January.

Ian Story will join the board in the role of chief financial officer. Story joined the firm when it acquired Smart & Cook.

Chief operating officer Shaun Hooper will also become a board member.

Reid explained that the strength of a board was necessary to ensure that the strategy for making the firm a leading independent broker stayed on course.

He went on to say that he was looking forward to working alongside his new colleagues.

Reid has also appointed Marshall Sugden, Neil Thornton, Nick Inge and Leigh Smart as regional managing directors.
