Jost Wahlen has been appointed by Allianz to serve as the firm’s new head of learning and development.

He leaves behind engineering firm Bombardier, where he held the post of director of workforce development.

In his new role Wahlen will be responsible for supervision of the Underwriting Academy, graduate schemes and a range of measures designed to improve and develop employee leadership and skills.

Wahlen has described the present level of skills within the firm as very high, and added that he hopes to build upon the expertise the firm has already developed.
