£7.1 million turnover for Crash

Northern Ireland-based accident management company, Crash, has reported a £7.1 million turnover for 2007. This represents a 60% increase compared to 2006.

The company now handles 100 non-fault accident cases per week, compared to 60 per week in 2006.

This increase in turnover follows the company’s announcement last year of a three year investment plan worth £750,000.

Crash’s sales and marketing director, Tony MacKeown, said of the results: “There has been a major shift of attitudes in the insurance market here. Many Insurance companies have reduced their claims staff in Northern Ireland and this has created an opportunity for us.

“The FSA is putting a greater emphasis on its treating customers fairly’ initiative.”

Michael McKeown, managing director, added: “Our increased business is a result of heightened awareness about what we do. Our message is simple – we are not an insurance company – we work on behalf of motorists and manage the claim on their behalf. We are on their side.”
