Collins to target European market
Pat Denzer, CEO and president of Collins, announced this week that his reinsurance intermediary company will be expanding its services into Europe.
Collins have appointed Michel Fernandez as the managing director of their new European wing. Fernandez will be in charge of developing Collin’s base of European clients.
Fernandez has previously worked as a reinsurance broker for Guy Carpenter and Co. in both Paris and New York, managing the accounts of several European-based insurance companies.
In the announcement, Denzer said: “We see potential opportunities for a range of European insurance companies to benefit from the strengths and expertise of Collins.
“With our broad capabilities in traditional reinsurance as well as in the capital markets, we can deliver highly customised programmes to a wide range of clients.
“We believe this approach will resonate with companies in Europe, and we’re very excited about our prospects with European companies.
“With the addition of Michel Fernandez, we have a European specialist with the background and experience to help deliver Collins’ services at all levels of the Continent’s insurance industry.”
