Adrian Lewers has been named as the leader of the newly created political and contingency risks division at Beazley Group.

Previously, political risks were handled within the specialty lines division.

Lewers leaves behind his position within the specialty lines division, where he headed up the political and contingency risks team.

Andrew Beazley, the Group’s chief executive, explained that the creation of a political and contingency risks division fitted in well with the firm’s business model.

He went on to say that the area demanded comprehensive expertise and longevity of experience, two characteristics that both Lewers himself and his team possess.
