Leon Richardson has been appointed by Ark Syndicate Management to bolster the firm’s underwriting team dedicated to terrorism, war and political risk.

Richardson will be tasked primarily with war and terrorism on land, allowing Ark to broaden the spectrum of its portfolio.

Simon Low, senior terrorism, war and political risk underwriter, has praised Richardson’s experience and believes that he will add to the high quality of service on offer to clients.

Ian Beaton, the firm’s chief executive, has stated that over the course of the last ten months the firm had moved to diversify its portfolio and improve its offering to clients.

He went on to say that Richardson’s appointment, amongst other recent moves, would help the firm continue to drive forward in 2008 and move towards a market leading ability.
