Lark, a broker owned by Groupama, has aquired Griffiths Good and Company. The aquisition increases Lark’s brokerage to £20 million.

Griffiths Good has a GWP of around £7 million and a revenue of £1 million. Its 14 staff are managed by Roy Griffiths, who will retain management responsibility for the business.

Lark’s chairman, Graham Lark, says that he is “delighted” by the aquisition.

He added that “[Griffiths Good and Company] is a top quality corporate broking business and the deal represents a further step towards our strategic objective to become one of the leading brokers in the South East.

“It is also our first acquisition since Groupama purchased a controlling stake in Lark last year.

“There is a strong cultural fit between the firms as Griffiths Good shares our belief that insurance brokers who provide clients with sound advice and excellent service will continue to thrive.”

Roy Griffiths said of the deal: “It is never easy selecting a future business partner but Lark exceeded our expectations at every step so we are very pleased to be part of this dynamic and forward thinking broking group.”

Lark has six offices in London and the South East, and employs 255 staff.
