Allianz Engineering bolsters construction capability
Allianz Engineerings has introduced a construction account team and give underwriters to bolster its construction capabilities.
The underwriting specialists will be based in London, Manchester and Birmingham and will collaborate closely with the firm’s engineering business development teams.
Martin Ball, underwriting and operations manager, explained that construction was Allianz Engineering’s most rapidly expanding account and that the strengthening of underwriting expertise was the firm’s response to the growth.
Ball went on to say that the new underwriters would support the regional development teams, enabling swifter and more efficient decision making.
Brian Fearnhead is to lead the construction account team, which will be based in Manchester.
Fearnhead has more than three decades of experience, and will be assisted by senior underwriters Peter Tomlinson and Des Hutton.
Clifford Drury has been appointed as underwriting manager, and will be joined in London by newly appointed senior underwriter Neil Fleming.
The new Midlands regional underwriter is Paul Mullany.
