Sheilas’ Wheels launches household product
Sheilas’ Wheels, the motor insurance brand that forms part of the esure group, is entering the household insurance market at the beginning of February.
The standard home cover product will include features that have been designed to appeal strongly to women, such as free online access to the CreditExpert identity fraud service provided by Experian (worth £80 per year); alternative accommodation in the event of loss of utilities to the home; and new-for-old cover on clothes.
The policy has a Defaqto Five Star rating and offers a 15% online discount on both buildings and contents cover.
Its Family Legal Protection option includes assistance in finding a registered childminder if the insured person is attending jury service and legal representation for a policyholder’s child if he/she does not gain entry to their school of choice.
Jacky Brown, spokeswoman for Sheilas’ Wheels home insurance, says: “Traditional home cover has moved little with the times and until now has been unisex in its blandness. Sheilas’ Wheels home insurance is a very serious female-focused product in the wrappings of a sassy brand.”
The policy is, of course, also available to men.
