James Muller has been appointed by Assurant Solutions Intermediary as chief operating officer.

Muller leaves behind Assurant Solutions, which he joined in 2005, and where he held a range of different positions.

Earlier in his career he worked at GE Capital (now named Genworth Financial) covering a variety of roles.

The position has been created recently, and will require the management and supervision of the day-to-day running, commercial development and operational compliance of the firm’s business.

The firm’s managing director, Paul Thompson, has welcomed Muller to the team, praising his past record and saying that his experience and knowledge will help the firm reach its targets.
