Groupama Healthcare has made some improvements to Santé, its private medical insurance product.

Santé was launched in 2006 and is aimed at the corporate SME sector. Its comprehensive cover provides a full refund on eligible inpatient treatment as well as various levels of outpatient cover.

The product has now been extended to include the option of annual travel insurance (Santé Travel) and greater flexibility for dental and optical insurance. In addition, the application process has been streamlined.

Alistair Sclare, head of healthcare underwriting at Groupama Healthcare, says: “The enhancements to Santé by Groupama Healthcare are the direct result of broker feedback, sought both on an individual basis and through our Healthcare Advisory Board. With people taking more holidays abroad each year, travel insurance is a valuable option to a PMI policy. Santé Travel will therefore really enhance the product’s appeal. We’ve also raised the game in terms of the way business is placed to make this much simpler.”

Santé Travel provides an option to upgrade international business travel to include leisure trips and winter sports. Cover can also be extended to include dependants.
