The creation of a new personal accident and travel insurance facility, supported by Lloyd’s, by Oxygen Insurance Managers has been announced.

The facility will be led by Brit Syndicate 2987.

Its chief will be Duncan Bassett, who will be working with Emma Fitzgerald and James Smith.

All the new employees, including a team to arrive later in January, join from Crispin Speers & Partners.

They will be specialists in flexible benefits and will be tasked with developing products for personal accident and group travel insurance.

The team will work alongside a number of employee benefits consultants who will assist them in the formulation of the new insurance solutions.

Sian Fisher, Oxygen’s MD, has said that the firm intends to exploit the growth potential in the corporate flexible benefits market by taking advantage of the new employees’ knowledge and experience of the market.

Fisher went on to describe the recruitment and motivation of top flight personnel as a key area for any business.
