AIG has expanded its private client group with three new recruits to bolster the service available to high net worth (HNW) clients.

Sophy Grindell leaves behind her position with Hiscox, where she was employed as an underwriter for art and private clients.

Another new member of AIG’s payroll is Paul Wilyman, who served as development underwriter in the motor HNW team with Groupama.

Lastly, Simon Reid joins from Zurich, where he was a new business underwriter for private clients.

The trio of new recruits were hired to strengthen the firm’s motor and art market expertise.

Ann Owen, AIG’s private client group manager, attributed the new appointments as a reaction to the increasing demand for HNW products, saying that the market had grown rapidly in recent years.

Owen went on to say that the firm was continuing to develop both services and products targeted at the HNW market, and added that she was delighted to have been able to hire three such talented individuals.
