The operating model and management of Crawford are to undergo substantial change.
The firm has released a statement which says that the measures will include the rationalising of the global executive team and splitting the firm’s services into four business units.
The changes are designed to effect an improvement in revenue growth and better customer services by taking advantage of Crwaford’s global position and distribution network.
Americas and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Asia-Pacific will replace Crawford Global Property & Casualty Services.
The former Global Business Development executive vice president, Kevin Frawley, is to become the new Americas chief executive with responsibility for casualty and property operations throughout the US, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
EMEA chief executive Ian Muress will also take on the responsibility for the Asia-Pacific region. The region’s chief executive, Richard Martin, will retain his post but become responsible to Muress.
Dennis Replogle and Kenneth Martino, recently appointed president, will continue to lead Broadspire (which offers services pertaining to workers’ compensation, medical management, and integrated disability management services).
Jeffrey Bowman will be global management chief, and be reported to by the global executive management team which will include Brian Flynn and Bruce Swain, who holds the posts of executive vice president (and chief financial officer) and global chief information officer respectively.
Under the changes, Information Technology will be changed to Information and Communications Technology.
Three new global executive management positions will come into effect. Allen Nelson will add the position of chief administrative officer to his current responsibilities as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. A number of departments will now report to him, including Human Resources, Quality, Compliance and Training, Marketing and Vendor Management.
The post of global human resources director will be assumed by Phyllis Austin, currently senior vice president of Human Resources. She will be responsible for developing policy and liaising with the HR teams in each unit.
The former Americas’ chief, Glenn Gibson, will be given the new position of senior vice president, Global Strategy, Projects and Development.
The senior vice president of Corporate Multinational Risks, Michael Reeves, will also be given the role of senior vice president of Global Markets.
Jeffrey Bowman, the firm’s global chief executive, said that the substantial changes would make the business simpler and swifter to adapt to quickly changing market conditions on both a local and an international level.
