Global insurance group Willis have today been the subject of praise from Chinese insurance regulators after receiving the highest rating during a recent quality review process by the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, putting it in the top 9% of brokers analysed.
Willis was awarded a 5 star rating overall in the study conducted into the operations and standards of insurance brokers throughout the Shanghai market, putting it ahead of the majority of its competition in terms of quality and recognition.
Willis was not only awarded 5 stars for its service provision, but also scored higher than any other firm in the review, with an overall mark of 94%, reflecting the extent of their dominance in the market over other providers, making them far more able to command respect and larger client projects in the process.
Willis were assessed on integrity, service provision, overall quality, value added processes and management ability, alongside 98 other brokers operating in the market, of which a total of 8 were given the 5 star rating overall, despite variations in the marks awarded.
Willis were the first ever internationally based broker to become a majority shareholder in a Chinese market broker back in 2004, making it one of the more established names within the Chinese insurance industry. However its mark of 94% has been well received in Shaghai and indeed at Willis HQ, with chairman Joe Plumeri expressing his delight at the achievement earlier on in the day.
“This accomplishment underscores our commitment to this vibrant and growing market and we are pleased to retain our leadership position. We constantly strive to achieve excellence in the quality of our work and we are thrilled this has been recognized by clients and insurers alike.”
