SBJ chairman and chief executive soon to retire
SBJ’s chairman and chief executive, Jim Clark, is to retire from the SBJ and SBJ Group boards.
He will remain an expansions opportunities consultant until the end of 2008.
The responsibility of SBJ Group’s insurance broking will be taken on by Howard Steeples, currently chairman and chief executive of SBJ UK.
In so doing Steeples will be the chairman of both SBJ and SBJ UK, chairing each firm’s management committees.
SBJ’s new chief executive will be Simon Rice, who presently occupies the position of managing director of SBJ’s international property division. In his new role Rice will be responsible for SBJ’s operations and report directly to Steeples.
The responsibilities of managing director of international property will be taken on by David Pexton, who is already the managing director of the agency services division.
SBJ’s UK chief executive will be Howard Fryer, currently regional managing director with responsibility for New Malden UK and Gravesend.
