Sarah Richmond has been named by Marsh as the firm’s new risk consultant for its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Product Risk Practice.

Richmond leaves behind Danone Waters UK & Ireland, where she was employed as quality and regulatory manager. In this position she developed a comprehensive product database detailing the firm’s entire dairy and water portfolio, vastly improving response times to queries.

In her time at Danone she also introduced an interactive food labelling guide and oversaw the enactment of regulatory requirements for existing brands and extensions.

The appointment is the first of three that will bolster the swiftly growing team, with the remaining two appointments to be announced early in the New Year.

In her new role Richmond will be based in London, and offer consulting services for manufacturers who may be exposed to liability issues or product recall, tampering or contamination.

Jeremy Moore, leader of the EMEA Product Risk Practice, welcomed Richmond to the team, saying she would provide an integral role in the firm and offering better value for money for customers.
