Heath Lambert Continue Scottish Expansion
Insurance broker Heath Lambert has today announced it is to open offices in Scotland further to its current premises in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, in a move designed in keeping with Heath Lambert’s growth strategy planned for the next few years.
The move comes following the appointment of Mark Bourke as head of the operations in Edinburgh, with a view to driving growth throughout Scotland to expand its reach and market share in the regions after months of strengthening its Scottish-based divisions.
Bourke is to become actively involved in the Heath Lambert Scottish divisions, directing the 25 man team as it continues to promote growth throughout Scotland across industry and commerce sectors having already sustained expansion throughout other regions.
Bourke’s appointment comes from a distinguished career with Tie Limited and Mott MacDonald, at both finding some measure of success. His appointment was justified on the basis of his strong technical pedigree and his extensive expertise across a number of industry sectors.
Speaking today on the overall expansion plan, Mike Hawkes of Heath Lambert said that the current level of investment in Scotland derived from the pending Commonwealth Games would breed a new market for professional insurance services, both brokering and consultancy.
“Mark’s knowledge and experience of Scotland and Scottish enterprises, the complex needs of clients and businesses and his extensive contacts will prove invaluable in helping us to explore these, and other opportunities, across the whole of Scotland.”
With the firm’s Scottish expansion now well underway, it remains to be seen how quickly the division can continue to expand without causing decreasing economies of scale, whilst also continuing to generate returns.
