Lockton has created a new facultative reinsurance property team. The team will be London-based and led by newly appointed David Cousar, formerly of Willis Re.

Howard Grace will also bolster the team. He leaves behind Aon Re to join Lockton.

Lockton Associate Kelly Allen will form part of the team, she transfers from the property team.

Lockton’s Global Risks Division’s executive chairman, Paul Jack, has explained that the team will work closely with the firm’s reinsurance treaty division and major accounts practice to take full advantage of the self-evident synergies.

Jack went on to describe the new team’s creation as a clear sign of the firm’s growth, adding that it would grab the attention and make people sit up and take notice in London and Lloyd’s markets.
