Marsh UK appoints new chief executive

Artur Niemczewski has been appointed by Marsh as its new chief executive, multinational for Marsh UK.

Niemczewski leaves behind Willis where he had a range of top flight positions, such as chief operating officer, International. More recently, he presided over the specialty and wholesale businesses’ transformation.

Earlier in his career Niemczewski held executive positions with AXA Insurance, Capital One and McKinsey.

In his new role as chief executive he will be directly responsible to Marsh UK’s chief executive officer, Martin South.

South has welcomed Niemczewski to his new position by praising his leadership and discipline, in addition to a strong past record reinvigorating firms to great success.

Michael Cherkasky, chief executive officer of MMC and Marsh Inc, reinforced the warm welcome by stating that Niemczewski’s appointment indicated the firm was able to attract the most talented of individuals.

Niemczewski has expressed his own delight at joining Marsh, praising the current team there for their dedication and talent. He went on to say that combining the best possible customer service with innovation with business models that are both efficient and effective the firm would go from strength to strength.
