Ilka McHugh has been named by Aon eSolutions as its new sales manager for EMEA.

Formerly she had enjoyed a stint of several years as head of corporate insurance management for Panalpina, a Swisss logistics firm that also happens to be one of Aon’s clients.

During her time with the Swiss firm she saw through the introduction of Aon RiskConsole, an online information system designed to manage risk, to handle Panalpina’s worldwide risk and claim data.

McHugh’s new position will entail responsibility for developing EMEA’s business throughout the south of Europe.

McHugh commented that she immediately noticed the special level of service Aon extended in seeking to find the best solution for Panalpina. She was so impressed with the firm that when she moved to the UK she joined the Aon.

She has over 20 years of experience in risk management, and is described as a great asset by Ed Monchen, eSolutions’ MD for EMEA.
