Insurer Fortis has today revealed it has signed up to the Uinsure home insurance panel. Fortis is the fourth member to sign up to the body, designed to present greater communication options between brokers and insurance operatives, and to provide enhanced policy distribution strategies.
Fortis today announced it has signed an agreement with Uinsure making it the fourth firm to do so within the home insurance market, which will see its policies offered to a wider range of insurance intermediaries and independent financial advisers, which have been designated as key to the ongoing success of its business and its brands.
The move comes as part of Fortis’ ongoing drive to expansion and development within its intermediary exposure, which it has suggested will be key to leveraging financial opportunities in the coming years to provide sustainable sales channels for its product lines.
Speaking today on the deal, Fortis business manager Jonathan Dixon, charged with developing strategic business relationships, said that he was delighted to have agreed terms with Uinsure, as a means of furthering distribution of Fortis products within core and developing market segments, particularly the potentially lucrative IFA vertical which Fortis has suggested it is looking to further capitalise upon.
Meanwhile Chairman of Uinsure Simon Taylor said he was keen to offer top-name brands to his distribution network, with a view to providing greater value for its brokers and end clients across insurance sectors.
The deal will see Fortis championed by leading broker Uinsure for the next five years, and was sealed for an undisclosed sum. It is thought that the opportunities arising from partnering with Uinsure will provide benefit to both parties to the agreement, with Fortis benefiting from an extended distribution chain and Uinsure benefiting from having access to distribute and sell Fortis insurance products.
