Patrick Drinan has been announced by ACE UK as the firm’s new UK and Ireland National Distribution Director.

In his new position Drinan will report directly to ACE UK’s president, Richard Pryce.

Drinan was formerly employed as UK and Ireland commercial property and casualty (P&C) manager.

His new job will entail close collaboration with the underwriting and business development teams, and responsibility for the strategic direction of both the service proposition and distribution of ACE UK’s products. This will mean efficiently utilising underwriting resources and products in each of the dozen offices the firm has throughout the UK and Ireland.

Pryce described Drinan’s new role as one that involved strengthening both the products and the services the firm has to offer across the board, and enabling the products and services to be effectively delivered to the clientele and brokers.

He went on to say that, following the firm’s restructuring in May, the appointment of Drinan would help the firm position itself for the greatest possible business growth.
