Insurance company London & European has today unveiled that their binding agreement with insurance company Zurich has been extended at the instance of Zurich to continue to provide mutual support services between the two firms.

The agreement between the two companies has seen Zurich underwriting on London & European’s titlesolv.com, which deals in indemnity policies for the legal industry, whilst the in-house underwriting division at London & European will now become more active in the process.

The extension has also brought an increase in the range of cover prepared to be underwritten by Zurich on the majority of policies, up from £2 million to £5 million, which has been designed in order to reflect rising property and land prices which could have an ultimate bearing on the level of claims raised against the legal sector.

London & European’s range of professional indemnity cover is crucial to the continuation of the legal industry. Its professional indemnity cover provides a backup for lawyers and law firms giving advice to clients, in order to provide a source of finance to fund professional negligence claims.

With the increase of policy cover to £5 million, the London & European titlesolv.com business looks set to reach a new target audience with more substantial indemnity cover for legal professionals.
