AMG’s recent strategic review has led to some dramatic personnel changes, including the appointment of a new CEO and an altered position for Kevin Wood.
The moves are made in an effort to ensure that the Group of companies, which has recently been enlarged, is able to meet the challenges of the future and continue to grow successfully.
Kevin Wood’s present role of Group Managing Director will be split in two. Wood will become the firm’s new Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for the Group’s daily operations, such as handling claims or technical skills processes.
The new Chief Executive Officer, Richard Webster, will be tasked with strategically steering the Group in the right direction.
Webster will take up his position in early 2008, reporting directly to the board. Chairman Martin Long will continue in his position.
Wood will remain as Group Managing Director until the year’s end.
Webster has spoken of his delight at leading AMG into the future.
Long has explained the changes to the senior management of AMG, citing the Group’s expansion and the new challenges it faces, saying that the review’s aim and conclusion were to enable AMG to achieve success into the future.
