Iprism has bolstered its underwriting capabilities with the appointment of four senior underwriters.

The move follows in the wake of recent growth for Iprism, including the rapid additions of the firms Go Compare, Endsleigh and UKGI.

Each of the new underwriters are experienced individuals, and will join the firm on 12 November.

The head of the new team will be John Lawton, who leaves Home and Legacy where he was employed as director and had responsibility for underwriting and schemes management. Earlier in his career he worked for Sterling Insurance.

Gary Johnson will be one of the new senior underwriters of the team. Previously he held the post of schemes development manager at Royal and SunAlliance, and has also worked for Norwich Union.

Mike Atkins and Angus Dunn complete the new lineup. Atkins leaves the job of e-consultant and underwriter he held at Axa; Dunn worked for Norwich Union’s underwriting team prior to his new appointment.

Iprism’s CEO, Gary Burke, expressed his delight at the new high calibre team employed by the firm, praising the new appointees’ great experience and talents, adding that they would be of great help to the firm in supporting continuing growth.
