Chris Klein has been appointed as Guy Carpenter’s head of Business Intelligence Group/Research & Development Group.

Klein joins Guy Carpenter from Benfield, where he held the position of head of counterparty risk and part of the Industry Analysis & Research Team which analysed counterparty risk and carried out research over a broad spectrum of reinsurance issues.

In his new role, he will be based in London and report to the head of Global Specialty Operations, David Priebe.

Priebe stated that Klein’s expertise would be vital for developing the firm’s global strategy, distributing the firm’s research worldwide, and would provide great leadership.
