Chubb has enlarged its marine underwriting team with the appointment of Mark Edmondson, Richard Bridges and Neil Lee-Amies as senior underwriters.

Each of the three new employees joins from senior underwriting positions at Württembergische UK. They all have over two decades of experience in insurance and reinsurance at an international level.

The three new underwriters will write a broad portfolio of Marine Hull and related risks and a Marine Excess of Loss account.

They will be working alongside Chubb’s Marine Cargo and Marine Liabilities team, from the firm’s box on the second gallery at Lloyd’s.

Edmondson, Bridges and Lee-Amies have been a highly successful marine underwriting team for some time and are seen as leaders of their respective fields. All three are very experienced both within the UK and abroad.

Edmondson described his and his colleagues’ new appointments as an exciting opportunity and expressed their aim to achieve success through their own knowledge and experience, as well as the firm’s strengths.

Chubb UK’s commerical insurance manager, Robert Cage, expressed his delight at the three new appointees joining the firm, describing the move as a significant step in the team’s expansion.
