Ark completes its Casualty Re team
Ark Syndicate Management has appointed two new members to its casualty reinsurance team; David May joins as head of casualty reinsurance and the new senior underwriter has been named as Andrew Aldwinckle.
Both men join from Aspen Re, and their appointments complete the platform for casualty reinsurance at Ark for 2008 (the third member being senior underwriter Simon Humphries).
They will be tasked with writing a wide range of products, including motor risks, general and employer’s liability, professional and financial lines. The team will also be covering a large and diverse geographical area, which includes the UK, mainland Europe, US, Canada, the London Market, Asia and Australasia.
Ian Beaton, Ark’s CEO, explained that the firm’s philosophy is to combine the best of talent across a diverse range to allow Ark to expand profitably and sustainably.
Beaton went on to express his delight at the strength of the team assembled for Casualty Re, and that he looked forward to working with them in the near future.
