Marsh has announced six new appointments in its consumer and commercial affinity teams in their continuing developmental drive.
Marsh’s London-based affinity practice specialises in the creation of affinity schemes aimed at personal lines insurance for the telecommunications, financial services, retail and manufacturing sectors. The practice includes consumer affinity (brands/warranty) and commercial affinity (Voluntary Employee Benefits, Franchises and Programmes).
The vice president of new business development will be Darren Edwards. His position will involve developing new brand-related business, where the firm administers consumer insurance policies for its clients.
Edwards has been in the financial services and retail sectors for 14 years, serving for 7 years at General Electrical and GE Global Consumer Capital Finance.
Dixie Thankey has been named as the leader of new business development in the brand business development team. The team’s duties include developing consumer insurance aimed at larger organisations such as retail banks and mobile phone operators, and other large scale companies with similar levels of business to customer activity.
Thankey’s job will require her to create and build relationships and generating revenue for the affinity business. Her previous job was with Card Protection Services. She has a lot of experience in the financial services industry and banking sector, as well as business-to-business sales development.
Gabrielle Lee will become the new business development leader, with additional responsiblity for fostering new relationships and making new deals for the affinity business. Like Thankey, she joins Marsh from Card Protection Services, and has shown herself to be a strong in both sales and marketing in a wide variety of firms, including Thomas Cook, Travelex and Classic FM.
Stéphane Boiron’s position at Marsh will be marketing and value added services manager. He will be responsible across the business for driving on the marketing strategy.
He previously worked at Homeserve, and has accumulated over 7 years of experience in the markets of domestic electrical goods and furniture extended warranty, with a great deal of experience in product development for the business-to-consumer and business-to-business sectors.
Adam Lambert is to be the risk advisory manager for the marketing and value added services team. He will be responsible for the growth of the firm’s risk advisory service, and for the placement of new business.
Lambert was formerly employed by a regional underwriter and has experience in the statistical and actuarial fields of insurance of over 4 years.
Terri Warburton is appointed as a new bid manager. Her responsibilities will be market research and production of all tender documents.
She had previously worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers for over 2 decades.
