Independent insurance broker Heath Lambert has today announced the appointment of a new commercial director for its affinities business with a specific focus on the business’s trade association, reflecting its commitment to developing commercial opportunity in its existing markets.
The firm announced today it had appointed Matt Dawson, formerly of ACE (Association for Consultancy and Engineering) to the position of head of commercial affinities, charged with developing existing business relationships and leveraging opportunities for strategic development in its affinities business.
Dawson’s position at ACE saw him as head of business development and corporate strategy in a role that was somewhat similar to his new position, giving him the ideal pedigree for his new appointment at Heath, according to spokesmen from the company today.
In his new position, Dawson will be responsible primarily for management of the corporate affinities division, which will see him working with singificant sized organisations in developing insurance policy coverage through its existing broker portfolio.
Speaking on the appointment, Mike Owen, marketing director, said that Dawson’s past experience will enable the Group to continue to provide the same standard of cover for complex larger organisations it has built its reputation on, with the ability to more effectively leverage business opportunities in
Heath Lambert is renowned for its services to trade associations and large professional organisations, and it widely quotes as the UK’s largest independent broker of insurance products for that specific market.
It is hoped that Dawson’s appointment will be conducive to extending the market reach of Heath Lambert into insurance markets, with a view to developing the commercial side of the business over the coming years.
