Endurance Worldwide Reinsurance has today announced it has appointed Patrick Aeschbacher as head of reinsurance in its emerging Asian and Australian markets, in a role it is hoped will see him bring decades of experience in the industry together with a charismatic approach to management.
The appointment was announced today by parent company Endurance Specialty Holdings as part of its wider drive to promote the global reinsurance arm of its brand amidst growing demand in Asian markets, and will see Aeschbacher assume the most senior position within the department.
Having previously worked with Converium at the head of its Asian underwriting department, Aeschbacher has a distinguished career spanning over 20 years in the global insurance market, making him the ideal candidate for the position according to Worldwide Reinsurance today.
The job will see him focus on developing the reinsurance business within the Asian and Pacific market places, capitalising on his specialist knowledge of the region from his time with Converium. He will be responsible for the day to day management of the division whilst also required to growth the reach of the business through new marketing channels.
Speaking today on the appointment, William Jewett of Endurance welcomed the appointment of personnel of Aeschbacher’s calibre, citing his experience of the global reinsurance market as a serious plus point along with his intimate knowledge of the Asian Pacific marketplace gained over the last few years.
Additionally, he added that the business will undoubtedly benefit from Aeschbacher’s renowned people skills in his role as champion for new broker and client relationships throughout his regional remit.
It is anticipated that the Asian Pacific reinsurance arm could see further strengthening over the next few weeks, with Aeschbacher looking to make his mark on the organization and begin the process of developing customer and broker relationships.
