Brit Insurance has today announced several new high profile appointments within its domestic sales division as it continues its rapid growth plan throughout the UK. Four key appointments were unveiled today within its sales department, notably seeing George Maxwell of Royal & SunAlliance appointed as head of sales.
The move comes at a time where Brit Insurance is looking to consolidate its UK operation, whilst building its existing management team to help corporate development and growth over the coming years, particularly as regards its broker network.
Maxwell will assume the position with responsibility for overseeing sales of Brit isnurance products across its distribution network, charged with creating a nurturing new client relationships. He had previously been employed with Royal & SunAlliance for some thirty years, with experience at senior level and in managing broker relations.
He will be joined in the division by three new appointments designed to consolidate its expertise. The addition of three Business Development managers is hoped to allow the company to work with existing brokers whilst developing new profitable client relationships, under the watchful eye of newly posted Maxwell within the sales division.
Mick Hunter was the first development manager to be unveiled, and will join Maxwell in leaving Royal & SunAlliance for his new position at Brit. During his time at RSA, Hunter was account manager to several key clients, giving him the perfect platform from which to use his experience in Brit.
He will be joined by Kevin Coaker, previously a business development manager at Allianz Commercial and his senior Rob Faulkner who was also employed by Allianz Commercial prior to his new position.
Speaking today on the appointments, a spokesperson from Brit Insurance said that the appointments would pave the way for longer lasting client relationships within its broker market.
