Box at Lloyd’s established by Ace
Ace Bermuda International (ABI) is the new trading name for Ace European Markets Insurance Limited and ACE European Markets Reinsurance Limited as of 1 October 2007.
A new box has been opened at Lloyd’s by ABI; the box opened for business on 1 October 2007 and has been created to support the firm’s overseas expansion and as a new method of marketing ABI’s current insurance products.
The box is the third of ABI’s European locations, the other two being offices in Dublin’s International Financial Services Centre and 100 Leadenhall Street in London where Stephen French, chief underwriting officer, works.
French described the new box as a significant milestone in the firm’s expansion and development in Europe and on the international stage.
The Dublin base for ABI was established in 1997, the London branch in 2000.
ABI’s business is centred on excess liability, excess property and professional lines business. Clients can access its insurance and reinsurance through a direct insurance or facultive reinsurance.
