The Ordnance Survey has recruited a top insurance expert to help them promote the advantages of their detailed geographic knowledge to the insurance industry.

Sarah Adams has worked in the insurance sector for 27 years, occupying a range of roles in sales and management in both insurance companies and brokers. Her arrival at the Ordnance Survey was preceded by a 13 year stint working for Aon.

Adams is excited by her new role at the well-known map makers, who are leaders in the field of digital geographical information in the UK. Such information, she explains, is becoming of greater pertinence as the insurance market realises its potential utility for risk analysis, modelling natural disasters and also for the development of new products, sales and marketing.
