Fletechers Solicitors, specialists in road traffic accident and serious injury claims, has become a limited company.
The firm’s MD, Rob Fletcher, explained that the structural change was so that the firm could become more closely aligned with major clients in the insurance sector. Rob Fletcher believes that a new set of challenges and opportunities will present themselves in the post-Clementi world and that by embracing change so quickly Fletchers Solicitors will steal a march on their rivals.
Ed Fletcher, also a director, added that the legal industry is not renowned for being forward thinking and ready to quickly adapt but that Fletchers had already taken steps to move beyond traditional and conservative practices still employed by many other law firms.
Following this internal restructuring, Ed Fletcher said the company decided to move ahead of the game by changing its corporate structure and becoming a limited company.
Director Stephen Threlfall has stated the future possibilities for the company include working in new ways with partners in insurance broking, underwriting and claims management and that the corporate change has moved the firm more into line with their closest commerical partners.
He added that the firm will be well-positioned for the future in 2009 (when the Legal Services Bill comes into effect) and beyond.
