Insurer Marsh has today announced its appointment of Adrian Willmott, formerly a director at Willis, to the position of head of sales for the south of England region as part of its ongoing expansion through mid-corporate business sectors.
The large insurance entity has undergone something of a significant management overhaul in recent months, with a wide ranging change of senior management designed to refocus the direction of its UK operation, with Willmott the latest in a line of recent appointments.
Willmott will be predominantly based within the Reading office of the Marsh operation, with the remit to develop regional growth and performance strategy throughout the south. Additionally he will be directly responsible for the 16-man sales team based at the same office, liaising with brokers throughout the region.
Willmott was previously with Willis Insurance as director of regional development through the central region, with responsibility for promoting growth and development through regional middle market business. During this time he was involved in the management and orchestration of national strategic development
Willmott’s twenty year insurance career should serve him well in his new senior position within Marsh. Based at a number of regional branches, the Marsh operation offers risk management advice and business insurance cover across mid-corporate industries, the southern branch of which will be led by Willmott in his new position.
Addressing the appointment today, Marsh highlighted Willmott’s proven track record in insurance sales and management fields as a major attraction to his employment. Additionally, his charisma and personability is hoped to help build more long lasting sales relationships with brokers and business customers alike.
Willmot will assume his role with immediate effect within the southern management structure, starting immediately on developing ongoing strategy for business growth and development throughout the region after becoming acquainted with the corporate ethos at Marsh.
