QBE Insurance Launch Rebranding Of Irish Business
QBE Insurance has today announced it has launched an Irish division under the QBE Ireland brand to consolidate its three existing Irish channels at present as part of a wider rebranding strategy.
The group currently operates in Ireland under the banners of Ensign, DA Constable Syndicate and QBE Insurance Europe, all of which will go to make way for the overarching QBE Ireland brand. The move will also see a consolidated senior management structure to help streamline the operation and drive forward its insurance business.
QBE Ireland will be led by boss Frank Hynes, packing years of insurance industry marketing experience alongside business accumen to drive the company forward within its major centre for European trade, who will work alongside chiefs within the Europe-wide business to promote cooperation and strategic business development.
It will focus mainly along the lines of commercial motor, casualty and manufcaturing liability cover. It is also known as a specialist provider of insurance for taxi drivers, buses and coaches and the haulage industry on the whole, and will continue to target its more niche insurance markets as the operation continues to grow and expand.
QBE Reinsurance Managing Director Jonathan Parry will oversee the management and operation of the European business, which will run in tandem with QBE Ireland from within Dublin and its London base. The European operation is to focus more on reinsurance rather than the traditionally wider product offerings of the Irish business.
It is hoped that the refining of QBE’s focus will help drive the business forward as a competitive force in the Europe-wide insurance market. Working closely with one another, Hynes and Parry have been charged with promoting the wider QBE brand through an existing network of brokers whilst developing more long term strategic business relationships.
