The Countrywide Network, the UK’s largest broker network, has extended its Partner Broker initiative to include commercial business.

The launch of Partner Broker Commercial is in response to continuing demand from Countrywide’s members and will provide a range of products covering the majority of brokers’ commercial needs.

These include commercial combined, packages, property owners’, liability and fleet cover.

Countrywide expects Partner Broker Commercial to increase membership of the network and enhance its influence on distribution.

According to Mark Ryder, the network’s Open International Commercial Director, the scheme will offer preferred status arrangements across a panel of insurers for a relatively small minimum commitment.

Twenty brokers are in the process of signing up to Partner Broker Commercial and its launch will be followed later this year by the introduction of Partner Broker Motor.

Members of the Countrywide Network currently control some £2.9 billion in gross written premiums per annum.

This equates to around 9% of the entire UK general insurance market and covers both personal and commercial lines business, as well as a range of niche market products from specialist insurers.
