Post Office Financial Services have announced an expansion in its insurance division, which has seen a 300% growth in staff numbers since its inception in 2004.
The insurance division of the Post Office has been subject to rapid expansion plans over the last few years, which look set to continue as the insurance arm of the Post Office branches out into a more diverse product portfolio.
At present, the Post Office offers insurance packages in motor and home sectors, which look set to expand and develop further as a result of the growth strategy currently in place.
Today saw the appointment of four new high profile tenures, set to drive forward growth within the division and build up market share for its insurance products over the coming years.
Duncan Caesar-Gordon, formerly RBS Head of Insurance will assume the role of Head of Protection Products, which will see the product line develop more into life assurance policies and private health insurance cover over the course of this year.
Gerry Barret, formerly of the AA’s insurance division will occupy a new post as Head of Customer Value, responsible for ensuring the quality of customer interaction and service provision.
Liz May, formerly of Lloyds TSB will assume the role of Senior Product Manager in a tenure that will see her work closely with Caeser-Gordon on the development of new products within the Post Office Insurance family.
Emma Baunach of HSBC will be appointed to Senior Product Manager of Home Insurance, seeing her actively involved in refining and improving the Post Office’s current insurance offerings within the home insurance sector.
The appointments are designed as part of a wider growth strategy for the Post Office insurance, which looks set to continue its stable growth plan over the next few years to become a more significant player in the insurance field.
