Building and development company Rok has today acquired Aquilo Inspection and Reinstatement Services from parent company Aquilo, which provides inspections, repairs and cost analysis for insurance companies across the UK
AIRS, formerly part of now de-listed Aquilo insurance provider, trades in providing claim and repair management to insurance companies dealing with property damage and destruction, making it wholly complimentary to Rok’s present operation of offering similar claim-response services.
The move is expected to be completed over the next few weeks, with full integration of AIRS assets within the Rok maintenance structure.
The move, worth an estimated £2.1 million, will see Rok subsume the assets of the former Aquilo inspection division, as well as its trade as it integrates within the maintenance branch of the present Rok operation, expanding the range of and depth of services Rok can offer to its client portfolio.
Rok currently provides maintenance and repairs for policy holders with a number of leading UK insurers, with a substantial infrastructure already in place to provide services the length and breadth of the UK. The AIRS operation, it is thought, will allow Rok to grow its business into new sectors and reach new clients over the coming years.
The AIRS of Aquilo has been growing in success over the last few years as a provider of rapid response claim handling and maintenance across a range of insurance sectors.
The move will see Rok expand its operation across a new customer base, opening their reach to the wider insurance market and increasing net worth through a more substantial asset base.
Aquilo, formerly listed on the AIM exchange, has of this week de-listed, which has seen the move to offload AIRS gather momentum. The insurance provider saw the opportunity to streamline its operation through offloading AIRS assets and trade to Rok, in what has been billed as a mutually beneficial transaction.
