Legal & General has received the Life Insurer of the Year award at the British Insurance Awards, which were held at the Royal Albert Hall in London, on Wednesday July 4th.
Legal & General has received the coveted award an impressive year eight times in ten years and Gary Burchett, managing director of the company, described the nomination as a real honour, whilst pledging to continue the group’s commitment to value for money products and excellent customer service.
Co-operative Insurance (CIS) was also amongst the winners and was presented with the Corporate & Social Responsibility Project of the Year Award.
This was made in recognition of efforts made by CIS to educate young people about road safety.
The insurer has joined forces with Brake, the road safety charity, to promote a responsible driving campaign called “Too Young to Die”.
The partners have created a road safety education pack that will be distributed to 600,000 students across 2,000 UK schools.
