Steady Growth in PMI Subscriptions

| June 22, 2007 | 0 Comments

According to new research undertaken by the Association of British Insurers (ABI), Private Medical Insurance (PMI) policies are becoming increasingly popular among consumers.

In terms of numbers, the ABI survey shows a 1.8% increase in subscriptions to such policies in 2006, with 1,030,000 people subscribing. It is estimated that currently nearly six million adults and children are covered by personal and corporate PMI plans.

The cover is popular with private individuals and business alike; the key attractions being a greater choice of treatment and services. For employers, there is the added bonus of ensuring that people can get back to work as early as possible after illness or injury.
